THE VOYAGE - Day 1 - 21st June 2012

It was the premier performance of the Voyage, a celebration of travel set in Victoria Square. But torrential rain meant the performance areas were slippery and dangerous. It is understandable  that the performance was called off.  Here are a few photographs of the run-up to the non-event.

Umbrellas out now. Cloudburst. A huge disappointment for the hundreds already gathered an hour before the performance,and still waiting there in the rain. I really hope the weather improves for the next 3 days for what seems will be a stunning spectacle.
