The Arden monument. It is believed to be of (furthest away) Ralph Arden, the (maternal) 6th great grandfather of William Shakespeare, and of (nearest) Elizabeth Clodshale who was married to a Robert Arden. Ralph's effigy is dated to around 1360 and is the oldest in the church, whereas Elizabeth's is of around the 1500s.

Eliot describes the Arden effigy to be that of Sir T. Arden of Nechells.
